The percentage of overweight children in the United States is growing at an alarming rate — 1 out of 3 kids are now considered overweight or obese.
Over the past three decades, the childhood obesity rate has more than doubled for preschool children aged 2-5 years and adolescents aged 12-19 years, and it has more than tripled for children aged 6-11 years. At present, approximately nine million children over 6 years of age are considered obese.
This multi-pronged fitness program for kids focuses on losing weight, muscle toning, increasing energy levels and improving self-esteem. Most importantly, the program educates children on how to make healthy eating choices. The program takes place in a group setting and consists of combination weight training twice a week and cardiovascular conditioning exercises five days a week. We offer 4, 8, and 12-week programs and new camps start on the 1st of every month. |
